Non contact sensors generally refer to three-dimensional space tracking locators that can detect in real time the values of a moving object relative to a fixed object in six degrees of freedom, namely the position values in the X, Y, and Z coordinates, as well as the rotation values around the X, Y, and Z axes.

Non contact liquid level sensor is one of the many types of non-contact sensors. Below is a brief introduction to the types and characteristics of non-contact liquid level sensors.
There are three types of non-contact liquid level sensors: capacitive liquid level sensors, ultrasonic liquid level sensors, and separated photoelectric liquid level sensors. Their common development feature is that they are not affected by the color, corrosiveness, pressure, density, etc. of the liquid, because these sensor technologies cannot directly come into contact with the liquid, so they are more hygienic, and the container requires data cleaning, liquid filling, etc.
1. Ultrasonic liquid level sensor
Ultrasonic liquid level sensors detect liquid levels based on the principle of sound wave reflection. The biggest advantage is that it can detect changes in liquid level in real time, which is impossible for the other two non-contact liquid level sensors. Due to the sensor's ability to convert water level into data, users can have real-time and clear knowledge of the remaining water level. The accuracy of ultrasonic liquid level sensors can reach ± 2mm, with high precision and the ability to detect liquid levels very accurately.
2. Capacitive liquid level sensor
Capacitive liquid level sensors are mainly used in the field of household appliances due to their small size and low price. If the capacitive liquid level sensor is installed on the valve body, the container can be moved freely. For example, capacitive liquid level sensors detect low liquid levels in aromatherapy machines. When the sensor detects that only 20ml essence is left in the bottle of the aromatherapy machine, it will send a signal to remind. After receiving the signal, the device will turn on the buzzer to sound an alarm or light up a reminder. Then the user can remove the bottle and add liquid, or directly replace another bottle with a new one.
3. Separated photoelectric liquid level sensor
The separated photoelectric liquid level sensor has the characteristics of all photoelectric devices, is resistant to high temperature, high pressure, and corrosion, has high liquid level control accuracy, and can control the liquid level within ± 1mm. The separated liquid level sensor is also treated with resin sealant, with no moving parts inside and high reliability. Separated photoelectric liquid level sensors are widely used in household appliances, medical industries, and other fields due to their advantages of small size, high accuracy, and high reliability.
